He is survived by: his children, Jean-Russell Gallant of Ontario, Derrick Gallant of Lower Onslow, Ellis Gallant of Sydney, Lisa Gallant of Sydney, Melanie James of Calgary and Sonya Gallant of Sydney; and his nephew Blair MacNeil.
