With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Geraldine Suzanne (Gerry MacDonald) Chiola in Sydney, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 8, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas MacDonald and Florence MacDonald (Strang) of Gardiner Mines; and her siblings, Lloyd, Basil, Harold, Gregory, Gerald, Eugene, Joan (O'Brien) and Shirley (Roach).

She is survived by: her husband Tony Chiola; her children, Carolyn (Patrick) and Michael (Lisa); her grandchildren, Jo-Lisa, Samuel, DeAndre, Anna and Hailey; and her sisters, Evelyn Cole and Maureen Corbett (Brian). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren.
