He was predeceased by: his daughter Darci Marie; his siblings, Tess Tonet, Bernice Fifield, Madelyn Sheppard, Anna Hayes, Michael, Cyril, Ron and George; and his close friend Wally Crewe.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen (Carew); and his son Lorne James of Yellowknife. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
