James Sidney Larusic Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Sidney Larusic (Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Edna LaRusic (Joyce); his wife Jane; his parents-in-law, John Lorway, Charlotte and Etta; his siblings, Marie Allday, Joyce Evans and Willie; his son-in-law Michael; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanette, Nette, Carmel (Chase), Earl Chase, Richard Graham and Ronnie Lorway.
He is survived by: his father James Timothy; his children, Brent LaRusic (Darlene), Michelyn Hawco (Jamie), Michelle MacNeil and John LaRusic (Tammy); his grandchildren, Robbie, Mark, Brandon, Bryden, Abigail, Emily, Myles, Samantha, Kyle and Jeremy; his great grandchildren, Aidan, Wrenley, Ariella, Hunter, Zayden, Declan, CharlieRay and Elliot; his siblings, Greg (MaryJane), Edward (Selina), Douglas (Darlene), Lorne (Jayne) and Pauline Graham (Connie); and his in-laws, Robert Allday, Sr. (Buck), Margaret Anne Lorway, Shirley Lorway and Edie LaRusic. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was also a member of the Nova Scotia Kitchen Party during Covid where he would entertain his audience every Sunday for a couple of hours.
Donations in memory of Sid may be made to the Miners Memorial Manor or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
