We bid farewell to Joan Alma Mills (Sydney, Nova Scotia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 9, 2026 at the age of 88. Joan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Mew and Jessie Mew; and her sisters, Isabel and Mary Lou. She is survived by: her husband William Mills; her children, Tom (Kim), Joe (Shauna), Judi (Bryan) and Barbara (Danny); and her grandchildren, Brad, Jacky, Amber, Nicole, Mark, Rachel and Ryan. She is also survived by her eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Women's Wellness Centre, which Joan faithfully supported through knit-a-thons.
