He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Crane and William Crane; his siblings, George (late Sue), William (Toni), Robert (Vangie), Rosie MacAskill (late Angus), Hazel Kozera (Stanley), Ollie Drover (late Bert), Geraldine Ayre (late Bill) and Gertrude Mollons (Clyde); his mother-in-law Violet MacNeil; and his brothers-in-law, Russel Saulnier (Peggy), Peter Saulnier and Gordon Jewers.
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, John Crane (Brenda), William "Bill" Crane (Paula) and Darlene MacDonald (Kerry); his siblings, Anne MacDonald (late Robert), Linda Henderson (Ivan), Shirley Gardiner (late David), Alonzo Crane (late Margie) and Ronald Crane (Helen); his grandchildren, Blair (Manni), Tyler (Crystal), Melissa (Shamir), David (Amber), Corey and Bailey; his great grandchildren, Devyn, Nevaeh, Amira, Doris, Flora and Adam; and his siblings-in-law, Willard Saulnier (Kathy), Betty (Jim) and Esther. He is also survived by grandfathers bestfriend really his brother.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Albans Hall (27 St Albans Ave, Sydney, NS B1N2T8).
