He was predeceased by: his father Jack Newell (Jack); his sisters, Elizabeth Lewis (Betty), Evelyn MacMillan, Jean Ginter (Doodie) and Patricia Hurlehey (Pat); and his brothers-in-law, Dr. Gerald Turner, Rev. Clayton Lewis, Sandy MacMillan, Ken Palmateer, Ed Ginter and Frank Hurlehey.
He is survived by: his wife Carole (Turner); his son Glen (David) of Toronto; his siblings, David (Beatrice), Linda Crockett, Thelma Palmateer and Alberta; his sister-in-law Beverley Turner; and his close friends, Nancy, Greg MacDonald, Ainslie, Brendan, Harper, Maisie MacKinnon, Ryan MacDonald, Christopher MacDonald (Karen), Coxheath, Desiree Cable and John. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
