It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Robert Thomson of Sydney, Nova Scotia, born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 17, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Thomson and Rebecca Thomson (Grant); his wife Veronica; and his brother Chummy. He is survived by : his children, Susan Everill (Scott) and Jonathon Thomson (Miranda); his grandchildren, Jesse, Jenna and Jace; his siblings, Marie (Russel), Marilyn (Joe), Joe (late Linda), Jerry (Linda), Patsy (late Rick), Sharon (Tom), Billy (Rose), Les, Heather (Dave), Joss (Darlene), Vera (Raymond), Pam and Paul (Kathleen); and his sister-in-law Margie (late Chummy). He is also survived by several in-laws, nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 4-6 p. m. with the memorial service to follow at 6 p. m. in the All Faith chapel with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating. 'Covid Protocols' will be practiced at the service and for those unable to attend, 'Live Streaming' will be available on our website.
