He is survived by: his sister-in-law Helen Kuniski; his sons, Kevin (Vicki) and Robin (Laura); and his granddaughter Ashleigh (Andrew). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Cape Breton SPCA would be appreciated.
