She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Canning and Gwen Canning. She is survived by: her husband Michael; her children, Tracey (Dave MacMullin), Sydney, Denise (Adam Watson), Coxheath and David Ferguson (Maureen); her grandchildren, Mitchell (Margaret), Michaella (Daniel), Emma, Kalen, Zoe, Amanda and Grayson; and her siblings, Debra MacDonald (Stewart), Marion Bridge, Valerie Wilson (Burt), Shauna Mombourquette and Brian (Susan). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (1452 Kings Rd, Sydney River, NS B1S1E6).
