He is survived by: his brother Elmer "Sean"; his friends, Byron MacPhee and Joe Vigneau; his son Joe Waye Jr. (Janice); his brothers, Red Mike and Eddy MacDonald; his friend Ed MacKillop; his children, Nelson Waye, Martin Waye (Crystal), Jacqueline Petersen (Thomas), Jill Waye and Sydney; his grandchildren, Emily Waye MacSwain (Stephen), Misty Hallaron (Gianni), Brooke Rose Waye, Nigel Hallaron and Joseph Waye (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Stella, Rose MacSwain, Georgina and Ameilia Jo Waye; his siblings-in-law, George, Nigel Holbeche, Ellen Rose (Charlie) and Diane Murchison; Leo Doublett, Gerard Dunn and Ethel Miller. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
