Owen Bonnell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Owen Bonnell of Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Bonnell and Agnes Bonnell (MacGowan); his grandparents, Annie (MacLeod) and Tom MacGowan of Ingraham's Farm; and his siblings, Colleen Baigent, Harvey and Aubrey.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Elizabeth (MacNeil); his children, Gary (Monique), Karen Bonnell (Sandy Chisholm), Westmount and Darlene MacQuin (Clinton); his siblings, Anna MacGillivary (Westmount), Roy (Fern), Westmount, Donnie (Anne) and Sydney Forks; his grandchildren, Amanda MacQuin (Vignir Jónsson), Christopher Campbell and Sandra Husk (Colin); and his great grandchildren, Owen, Autumn and Archer Husk.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Westmount United Church (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westmount United Church or a charity of your choice.
