He was predeceased by: his parent Gerry Guillena; and his grandparents, Joe, Anne Guillena, Patrick and Agnes Axworthy.

He is survived by: his mother Myrna Guillena (Axworthy); his brothers, Kerry and Roger (Leigh); his niece Isabella; his cousin Patricia; and his uncle Joe (Marg). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Pete's name to the Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
