She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael MacDonald and Margaret MacDonald (Campbell); her husband Michael; her siblings, Marion, Elizabeth, Cecilia, Rachel, Isobell, Angus, Roderick, Murdock and Joseph; her daughter-in-law Karen Gillis; and her grandson Evan Gillis.
She is survived by: her children, Andrew (Lynne), James, Carol and Janet; her grandchildren, Kyla (Dillon Burgess) and Nichole (Matt Marshall); and her great grandchildren, Finley, Hudson Burgess, Peyton and Jackson Marshall.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pier Community Funeral Home (1092 Victoria Rd, Sydney, NS B1N1L1). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Redeemer Church (1135 Victoria Rd, Sydney, NS B1N1L3).
