He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl MacKeigan and Irene MacKeigan (Huett); his significant other Archena (MacKinnon); his brothers, Beverly and Buddy; his sisters-in-law, Florence MacNeil (Eugene) and Frances Waters (Winston); and his nephews, Paddy and Ronnie.

He is survived by : his sons, Kris "Buddy", Kenneth (Sheldon Macdonald), Darryl (Kelly) and Trevor (Mary Saltzman); his grandsons, Dalton, Connor, Caden and Wyatt; his stepgranddaughter Madison; his sister Pearl (Russel Huntington); his sister-in-law Jean "Tootsie" MacKinnon (Sandy MacNeil); and his nieces and nephews, Carl (Kim), Douglas (Shelley), Darren (Jennifer), Brent (Cathy), Kelly (Leanne), George (Debbie), John (Theresa), Robbie (Sharon), Jason (Jan), Stephen, Tracey, Mark (Marion) and Gina (Kyle).
