She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles MacDonald and Margaret "Maggie" MacDonald (Morrison); her husband Murdock Joseph; her son Charles; her siblings, Mae Montgomery, Christene Nicholson, Jessie MacDonald, Katherine "Kitty" Montgomery, Kenny, Johnny and Roddie; her nephew John; and her great-niece Cassandra.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Keigan of Big Baddeck and Jonathan (Dorothy) of Big Baddeck; her granddaughter Kristen (George) of Fort McMurray; her daughter-in-law Heather MacLean of Baddeck; her grandchildren, Lyndsay Ramia (Joe), Kyla MacNeil (Nick) and Kenzie (Andrea); her niece Margie MacLeod; her great-niece Joyce MacAskill; her nephew Dave "Jed" Miller (Carmel); and her great grandchildren, William, Evan, Owen, Gus, Oakley and Ryder. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
