Shirley Lorraine Thurber Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Lorraine Thurber (Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on December 13, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Hillman and Flora Hillman (Varner); her husband Walter "Rusty"; her siblings, Arleigh, Gary "Sonny", Edgar, Ronald "Beaver", Dougie, Pearl Ross, Eileen MacCharles, Dawn Tubrett, Beverly Herridge and Judy Marmulak; and her son-in-law George Hyde.
She is survived by: her children, Kim and Walter (Ann); and her siblings-in-law, Marilyn Hillman and George Herridge. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
