She was predeceased by : her parents, Archibald Hillier and Mary Jane (Coffee); her husband Andrew; her daughter Debbie Wallace; her siblings, Viola Hillier, Bill Hillier (Mamie) and Ernie Hillier (Aggie); and her grandson Danny.

She is survived by : her children, Mary Barrett (Jim), Terri Wadden, Dave Musgrave (Kay) and Wayne Musgrave (Patsy); her son-in-law Ward Wallace; and her close friend Ada MacPhee (Mooie). She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Library.
