She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Nicol and Annabelle Nicol; her sister Beatrice MacDonald (Trixie); and her husband Meahan MacDonald. She is survived by: her stepchildren, Marie Banfield of Dartmouth, Arthur MacDonald (Maureen) of Sydney River, Carol Ann MacDougall (Redmond) of Coxheath and Louise Lumsden (Michael) of Sydney; and her nieces and nephews, Christy Linders, Nicole MacDonald and Raymond MacDonald. She is also survived by five children, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pier Community Funeral Home (1092 Victoria Rd, Sydney, NS B1N 1L1).
