Walter Albin Magdy Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 8, 2020, at the age of 88, Walter Albin Magdy (Sydney, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Michal Magdy and Aniela Magdy (Wolkowski); his wife Catherine Magdy (O'Handley); his siblings, Beth Nanchoff, Stan, Edward (Maye) and Edwin (Vi); and his brother-in-law Joe Wiwczaruk.

He is survived by: his children, John (Rose), Mississauga, Ont, Terry (Cynthia), Scott (Rose) and Marcie Bungay (Drew); his grandchildren, Katelin (Phil), Deidre (Chris), Kirsti (Matt), Clare, Ryan, Nathan (Emma), Keely (Jason) and Adam (Michaela); his great grandchildren, Ava, Theo, Lila, Carl and Asa; his sisters, Agnes Wiwczaruk and Fran Xamin (Chuck); and his siblings-in-law, Bill Nanchoff, Alan O'Handley (Judy), Frances MacDonald, Margaret Spiers and Marie O'Handley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery Fund or to a charity of one's choice.
