She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Peterson and Geraldine Peterson-O'Dea (Cobb); her son Robert Rose "Robbie"; her brother Earl Peterson; and her stepfather Ronald O'Dea.
She is survived by: her husband John Harvey MacNeil; her daughters, Ronda, Sydney and Nancy NacNeil (Joël); her granddaughter Èlodie; and her sibling's children, Bill Peterson and Madison.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3).
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Centre at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
