With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Douglas MacArthur (Sydney, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 9, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester William and Alene MacArthur (MacKinnon); his sisters, Janet and Mary; and his brothers-in-law, Arnold, Robert, Gerald, Brendon and Cornelius.

He is survived by: his wife Sheila MacArthur (Campbell); his children, Blair MacArthur (Cathy) and Lisa MacArthur (Greg); his grandchildren, Brett, James (Hannah), Jordan, Brandon and Emma; his great grandchildren, Kara and Kasey; and his siblings, Cecil (Sheila), Gertrude, Muriel, Anna, Blanche, Dale, Joyce (Joe) and Cynthia (Wendell). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Doug may be made to Hospice Palliative Care Society or charity of one's choice.
