He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Appleton and Margaret Appleton (Nash); his siblings, Dorothy, Edna, Annie, Shirley, Audley, Joyce, Bernie, Arnold, Thomas and Roy; and his son-in-law Gary Tatlock.

He is survived by: his wife Recie (Pierre); his children, Arnold Appleton (Sydney) and Donna Tatlock; his grandchildren, Caitlin Tatlock (Brad) and Ben Tatlock (Rachel); and his sister Bernice Finnegan of Guelph, ON. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
