She was predeceased by : her parents, Fred Burke and Clarice Burke; her daughter Suzanne Elizabeth; and her siblings, Mary Rooney, Claire Crofton, Rita Burke, Eileen Burke, Dorothy Cox and Fred Burke.

She is survived by : her children, Bruce (Carolyn), Brian (Linda), Geoff (Shelene) and Jennifer (Kevin); and her grandchildren, Matthew, Alana, Jillian, Barret, Madyson, Simone, Connor, Logan, Grace and Emily. She is also survived by friends and family.

Donations in Yvonne's honour may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Hospice Cape Breton.
