He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ross and Mary Elizabeth (Johnston); his former wife Norma June; his son Clarence; and his siblings, Ross, Alex, Robert, Edward, Annie and Nellie.

He is survived by: his sons, David and Norman (Betty); his grandchildren, Nicole, Robyn (Jason) and Brandon (Kerry); and his great grandchildren, Alexis, Colton, Adrian, Harley, Emma, Isabella and Odin.
