He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Robertson and Marjorie Robertson; his in-laws, Angus and Willena Darroch; and his siblings-in-law, Shane Cameron and Nancy Darroch.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Robertson (Darroch); his sons, Nick (Chelsea) of Merigomish, Brandon Thorburn (Ashley), Tim Abercrombie (Danielle) and Sean (Alisha) of New Glasgow; his grandchildren, Locklyn, Sawyer, Rhys, Easton, Aspen, Colton and Caleb; his aunt Eleanor Betts; his siblings, Marla Cameron (Jason), Dean Robertson (Jennifer) and Doug Robertson (Liya); and his in-laws, Scott Darroch (Janifer) and Karen MacMillan (Ernie).
