He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Longard and Bessie Longard; his wife Edith (Loxdale); and his brother Marshall. He is also survived by his sisters.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. A. Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Tantallon Seventh-Day Adventist Church (12494 Peggys Cove Rd, Tantallon, NS B3Z2M7).
