He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph "Bozo" Avery and Ann Burnetta "Annie" Avery (Cox); his siblings, Helen Guthro, Mary "Dolly" Arthurs, Isabel Avery, Joseph "Joby" Avery and Cecil Avery; and his brother-in-law Morris Cameron.
He is survived by: his wife Judy (Murray); his children, Ken Avery (Joanne) of Enfield and Kenda Avery (Judie) of Dartmouth; his grandchildren, Mitchell Avery (Shelly) and Michaela Wilson (Ian); his great grandchildren, Jackson, Layla and Sawyer; his sister Hazel Hughes (Ulysse); and his sister-in-law Gail Cameron. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
It is with heavy hearts and deep love that our family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved John Andrew Avery, age 88, on December 21, 2025, after a long and courageous journey with Alzheimer's disease.
