He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy; and his sisters, Doreen and Nancy McRae (late Jerry). He is survived by: his sons, Paul (Miriam), Tim (Jacinthe) and Peter (Sandra); his grandchildren, Chelsea Bennett-Colonese (Jordan Colonese), Joshua (Stacey Litjens-Cusan), Corey, Sarah (Mark Roussy) and Isabelle (Isaac Houston); and his great grandchildren, Maisie, Bennett Colonese, Beau and Jack Roussy.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Little Harbour Community Centre.

Donations in Richard's memory can be made to the Sandbar Mental Health Endowment of the Aberdeen Health Foundation (https://aberdeenhealthfoundation.ca), a funding stream created by Richard and Nancy Bennett.
