She was predeceased by: her parents, Neil MacKinnon and Mary MacKinnon (Richards); her siblings, Lloyd, Barbara MacLellan and Carolyn Mattix (Danny); and her significant other Arden Mattix.

She is survived by: her children, Mimi (Jeff) and Bill (Erin); her siblings, Phyllis Stewart (Lee) and Neil MacKinnon (Jeanette); her brother-in-law Charles MacLellan; her grandchildren, Cassie Blois (Doug), Bethany House (Chandler), Portaupique, Rob Blois (Morgan), Bailey, Bradley, Elijah, Emmitt MacKinnon and Portaupique; and her great grandchildren, Danica, Callie, Hayden and Parker. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
