It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Earl Matthews (Truro, Nova Scotia), born in Debert, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 22, 2018, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Earl Matthews; his wife Shirley Matthews (Patriquin); and his siblings, Chesley Matthews, Irene MacCallum, Beatrice Stevens and Fern Stewart.
He is survived by: his parent Iola Matthews (McCully); his daughters, Sharon Rundle, Barbara Matthews of Stellarton and Carole Darrah (David); his brother Arnold Matthews; his sister-in-law Beulah Matthews of Bible Hill; his grandchildren, Sonya Casey (Chris), Ann Crossman (Ray Telder) and Matthew Darrah; and his great grandchildren, Andrew Casey and Michael Casey.
