She was predeceased by: her parents, Melnor Hoyt and Florence Hoyt (Smith); her husband Wayne; her siblings, Doris Archibald and Ken Hoyt; her siblings-in-law, Weaty Hoyt, Joan Hoyt and Bill Archibald; and her niece Janet Richardson.
She is survived by: her children, Donna MacNeill (Scott), Rod (Rhonda Rushton) and Thane (Theresa Fougere); her grandchildren, Jared Blois, Nathan Blois (Danielle LeBlanc), Carly Blois, Jenna Blois and Merissa MacNeill; and her brothers, Ronnie Hoyt (Kathy), Onslow, Frank Hoyt and Russell Hoyt (Sandy). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Varner Funeral Home (55 Young St, Truro, NS B2N3W6). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Trinity United Church (415 Onslow Rd, Upper Onslow, NS B6L5L2).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory to Trinity United Church or charity of choice are welcomed.
