She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. N. MacGregor Layton and Isabel Layton (MacDonald); her husband C. Malcolm MacQuarrie; her sister Elma Lank (Edward); her sister-in-law Dorothy Harrity (Gordon); and her niece Charlotte Louise Jones (Fred).
She is survived by: her son Charles (Linda); her grandson Matthew; her son Rod (Danielle); her grandchildren, Connor, Chloe and Rylie; her daughter Martha; her grandson James (Leah); her great grandchildren, Samantha (Ben) and Mac; her stepchildren, Sarah and Jeff (Ulrike); her stepgrandson Samuel; her stepdaughter Emma; and her brother Dr. Norman Layton (Mary).
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First United Church (711 Prince St, Truro, NS B2N1G7). A reception will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Memorial Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marigold Cultural Centre (Cobequid Arts Council Endowment Fund), or the First United Church Restoration Fund, causes dear to Charlotte's heart.
