She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Hamilton and Verna Hamilton (McCallum); and her son Trevor Higgins. She is survived by: her brothers, David (Darlene), Ralph (LeeAnn) and Kevin. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
