It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Piers in Truro, Nova Scotia, born in Moncton, New Brunswick, who passed away on June 18, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry David's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May David's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Piers and Ada Z (Davidson); his former wife Marion (Dooley); and his siblings, Dora and Jack.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Leger; his brother Bob (Carol); his nieces, Judy Piers-Kavanaugh (Wayne) and Angela Purcell (Mike); and his nephew Nick Piers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Snow's Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1).
In lieu of flowers it was David's sincere wish that donations be made in his memory to his favourite tennis club St. Georges Tennis Club in Dartmouth.
