She was predeceased by: her siblings-in-law, James Bain, Richard Bain, Robert Bain, Hazel Swantee (Allan), Muriel Bain (Fraser), Elizabeth Burns (Edward) and Mary Bain.
She is survived by: her husband John Bain; her children, Ian Bain (Gina) and Ruth Slack (Dana) of North River; her grandchildren, Nicholas Slack of North River, Alana Slack, Colin Bain, Brian Bain and West Branch; her sister Marion Blackmore of Truro; her sisters-in-law, Emily Bain (MacNabb) and Shirley Bain (Weatherbie); and also West Branch. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
