We bid farewell to Douglas John Pike (Truro, Nova Scotia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 29, 2025. Douglas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roddy Pyke and Alreta Pyke (Blackwood); his son Douglas Jr.; his siblings, Hazel, Irene, Robert, Laurie and David; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Todd (Peggy), Kenn Crosby, Robin Cook and Bill Todd.
He is survived by: his significant other Mona Smith-Pike (Cook); his daughter Katherine Pike; his significant other's children, Margo Archibald (Kevin), Mattatall Lake and Michael (Tasha); his grandchildren, Nicholas Archibald (Rebecca), Noah Archibald, Abigail Archibald and Samson Smith; his great grandchildren, Lane and Lilah; and his siblings-in-law, Scott Cook (Linda), Jo-Ann MacDonald (John), Stephanie Cook and Doris Cassidy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Varner Funeral Home (55 Young St, Truro, NS B2N3W6). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
If so desired, donations in Doug's memory to First United Church, Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Truro (Poppy Fund) or charity of choice are welcomed.
