She was predeceased by: her parents, William Rushton and Isabelle Rushton (Spencer); her husband Ernest "Ernie"; her daughter Paricia Ann; her siblings, Shirley Rushton (Carl), Marie Levy, Gail Mattatall (Leon), Paul Rushton (Wanda), Leroy Rushton and Harold; her siblings-in-law, Barbara Rushton, Lorraine Rushton, Wayne Levy and Martin Goviea; and her in-laws, Leila, Brice Barkhouse, Mary and Ernest Muise.
She is survived by: her children, Colleen Hatfield and Gregory Barkhouse (Crystal); her stepsons, John Muise and Jason Muise; her granddaughters, Laura Hatfield (Alex Chisholm), Cassidy Barkhouse and Caitlyn Barkhouse; her siblings, Velma Barkhouse (Douglas), Ruth Zimmer (Alan), Doris Ann Davis (Bill), Vivian Goviea, Helen Gill (Lawrence), Douglas Rushton (Sharon), Gary Rushton (Karen), Keith Rushton (Linda) and Reg Rushton (Linda); her son-in-law Ian Hatfield; her daughter Cindy Adshade (Paul); Sammy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Mahon Cemetery (8480 NS-2, Great Village, NS B0M1L0).
