With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eldon Dennis Melanson in Truro, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 1, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eldon Dennis Melanson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Melanson and Jennie Melanson (LeBlanc); his siblings, Dale Melanson (Bob Hall), David Melanson and Tony Melanson; and his granddaughter Samantha Wallace.
He is survived by: his wife Janet (Taylor); his children, Tammy Melanson (James Wallace), Charles Melanson (Lisa), Truro Heights and Michelle Melanson (Colin Smith); his grandchildren, Jessica Burgess, Rebekah Wallace (Dustin Whidden), Toni Wallace, Michael Melanson and Dylan Robson; his sister Judy MacIntosh (Peter); and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Carrigan (Joe) and Wendy Melanson. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Varner Funeral Home (55 Young St, Truro, NS B2N3W6). A reception will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion (42 Brunswick St, Truro, NS B2N2G7).
