She was predeceased by: her parents, Lockhart Lynds and Ruth Lynds (Crowe); her husband Arnold Eric Roode; and her siblings, Anne Staples and Obrey Lynds.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Roode, Gary Roode, Karen Roode and Paul Roode; her grandchildren, Leanna Withrow (Michael), Central Rawdon, Harmony and Jessica Keevil; her great grandchild Rose Withrow; her siblings, Dorothy Graham (Noah Perry), Onslow, Helen Weatherby (Charlie Martin), Freeman "Bubby" (Kelly) and William Lynds (Jeanie); and her brother-in-law Andy Staples. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
