He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Geddes and Roxy Geddes (Lynds); his daughter Cathy; his brother Ronald (Betty); and his brother-in-law Earle Murray.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie (Whidden); his children, Paul (Cynthia) and Shelley (Sheldon); his grandchildren, Deanna (Dave), Alberta, Cody, James (Andrea), Labrador, Andrea (Jon), Erik (Tamara), Keillor and Chloe; his great grandchildren, Eve, Tessa, Robert, Ty, Ayla, Jaxson, Iris and Opal; and his sister Marjorie Murray.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Harmony Cemetery when Covid restrictions ease.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elroy's memory to VON (Colchester East Hants Branch) or charity of choice are welcomed.
