He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Giles and Erma Giles (Phillips); his sister Gayle; and his pet Mike. He is survived by: his wife Susanne (Archer); his daughters, Shannon Fougere (Rick), Jennifer Giles (Matt Arsenault) and Valley; his grandchildren, Rhys Fougere, Bria Arsenault, Delia Arsenault and Rowyn Arsenault; and his siblings, Mark Giles (Beth Emery) and Janice Giles (Don Rainnie).
Donations in Gary's memory can be made to Lion's Guide Dogs Program, Palliative Care Unit (Colchester East Hants Health Centre) or a charity of choice.
