He was predeceased by: his son Stan Nelson; and his siblings, Ralph Doyle, George Nelson, Mildred Dewar (Doyle) and Francis Saville (Nelson).
He is survived by: his children, Stanley and Debbie Nelson of Florida; his sister Phyllis Coolen (Nelson) of Ontario; his daughter-in-law Beverley Nelson (Waddell); and his grandchildren, Joshua and Victoria Nelson (Tori). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
