She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabrey Newson and Grace Newson (Patterson); her husband James A. Kent; her brothers, Wayne and Gerald; her siblings-in-law, Steven Jefferson, Wally Fisher, John Kent, Katie Jefferson, Mary Fisher, Elaine Kent and Janet Kent; and her nephew Mike Zinck.

She is survived by: her children, Colin (Wanda), Craig Kent (Jane) and Nancy Smith (Scott); her grandchildren, Mallery Thomas (Brad), Matthew Kent (Katlyn), Olivia Kent, Dr. Megan (Clarence), Mandy (Wilson) and Kent Smith (Marika); her siblings-in-law, Mabel Newson and Everard Kent; and her great grandchildren, Tom, Layne of Jamie, JP, Mairi, Robbie Newson and Hiromi Hirobe (Japan).

Memorial donations may be made to the Old Barns United Church, Colchester Hospital Auxiliary or a charity of your choice.
