Irma Nellie Bird Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irma Nellie Bird (Truro, Nova Scotia), who passed away on September 14, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Irma departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Irma. Though Irma may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George McNutt and Zelda McNutt (Thompson); her husband Edward Layton Bird; and her siblings, Mildred Mayhue (Ernie), Guy McNutt (Estelle) and Earl McNutt (Mary Ellen).
She is survived by: her brother Eric McNutt (Nancy Snook). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Crossroads Cemetery (110 Salmon River Rd, Valley, NS B6L2S5).
