She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson Hennigar and Joyce Hennigar (Cook). She is survived by: her close friends, Nancy Hopkins and Joan Drysdale; her husband Lloyd Nickerson; her children, Carol Nickerson, Allan Nickerson and Stephen Nickerson; and her siblings, Leroy Hennigar (Carol) and Oneta Hennigar (Terry Crawley).
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, May 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM at the Ettinger Funeral Home Chapel (2812 NS-2, Shubenacadie, NS B0N2H0). A burial was held on Sunday, May 24th 2026 at the St. Peters Anglican Church (5311 NS-236, Kennetcook, NS B0N1P0).
