She was predeceased by: her parent Edmond Shipley; her husband Clarence Arthur Stanton; and her siblings, Wilfred, George, Elroy, Lillian and Viola.

She is survived by: her parent Mary Shipley (Ross); her children, Robert Stanton Truro (Elisabeth), James Stanton (Diane) of Truro, Stephen Stanton (Janie) of Londonderry and Heather Stanton of Truro; her siblings, Gordon Shipley (Shirley) of Debert, Annie Goodwin of Truro, Ethel Crossman of Truro and Rosie Proctor of Ontario; her sister-in-law Lynn Shipley of Truro; and her grandchildren, Shane, Stephen, Charlene, Neil, Chanel and Gale. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, who mom.
