She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Olive Bruce and Arthur Bruce; her siblings, Allen (Yvonne), Malcolm (Tony) and Marjorie (late Werner); her friend Fran of Lewis' Hat Factory; her husband Lloyd Upham; her grandchildren, Mary, Dr. Amanda Crosby (Mike Ripley), Sarah Weir (Bobby) and David Crosby (Sara); her daughter Heather Lauther; her grandchildren, Danielle (Benn Boutilier), Chloe (Derrick Pilon) and Ben; her daughter Karen (Mike Destun); her grandson Zach; her nieces and nephews, Lorraine Brake, Joanne Bruce, Carol McCarthy, Kathryn Bruce, Mercedes Sawosch, Robert Bruce, Allen Upham and Randy Upham; her granddaughters, Lauren Destun and Sarah Ferguson; and her nephews, Jeffery Bruce and Richard Bruce.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Ronald McDonald House Charities Atlantic in memory of Lauren Destun, Mary's granddaughter are welcomed.
