He was predeceased by: his parents, Olman Hingley and Alice Hingley (Studivan); his brother Norman Hingley; his half-siblings, Ernest Blackmore and Gladys MacKenzie; and his brother-in-law Darrell Landsburg.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene (Landsberg); his son Jamie Hingley (Joy); and his sisters-in-law, Beverly Hingley, Crowes Mills and Wilma Landsburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 29th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Varner Funeral Home (55 Young St, Truro, NS B2N3W6). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Community United Church (250 Brunswick St, Truro, NS B2N2J3).
