He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred McCallum and Margaret McCallum (Crowe); and his siblings, Nellie Marshall, Carrie Crowe, Johnny, Mike, Willie and Lester.
He is survived by: his wife Vena McCallum (Best); and his daughters, Brenda Currie, Gloria Harris (Gordie McFarlane), Hilden and Diane McCallum (Ron Desjardins). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
